UPDATE: This offer has now expired.
Etsy suggests that you upload images at 1000 pixels across. Moo pulls from the highest quality image. But if it the lowest 430 pixels across, then Moo says they will look ok, but this the smallest image you would want to use.
In case you didn’t know, MOO is a printing company. They print beautiful products using images you upload directly to their site, and we are pleased to announce thet they are our new BFF.
Thanks to an ingenious combination of magic and science, Etsy sellers can now have minicards, stickers, and postcards printed DIRECTLY from the product images in their shops.
Here’s how it works:
1. Go to http://moo.com/etsy
2. Select the Moo product you would like to make with your Etsy images (in the following example, we’ll select moo MiniCards).
2. You will be prompted to log into your Etsy account.
3. Once logged in, drag the images you wish to make into cards from the scrollable picture bar into the large white box underneath. You have the option to add all photos, add 10 random photos, or clear all of the photos from the screen by clicking the blue text above the white box. You can drag images to the left sidebar if you wish to remove them from being designed, we all make mistakes.
4. The next screen allows you to control the part of the image displayed on the card. You can crop, zoom, change positions, preview, reset, and even remove a photo if you don’t like the way it looks. When you have the desired look for your images, click next step.
5. The next screen allows you to design the back of your moo cards. You can leave them blank, add a logo, and write up to
6 lines of text with the option to bold or color. For creative ways to use text on your cards, check out the article we wrote specifically for uses of moo products!
6. The next screen adds your designed product to your cart and allows you to make more products if you like.
7. Click “go to payment”, review the items in your cart, edit them if you like, and check out with either Paypal or your credit card!
Special Promotional Offer:
To celebrate the launch of this magical new tool, Moo is even offering a special deal to all Etsy sellers: Moo will give you a free pack of custom stickers when you buy both Etsy MiniCards and Etsy Postcards.
At checkout, enter the promtional code : moolovesetsy , and the website will automatically calculate the discount for the Stickers.

I'm sorry to rain on the parade.. but Moo's products are NOT a good value. Take the Moos postcards for instance, They are $19.99 for 20 TWENTY postcards. Moo cards are very neat and their online design tools are slick as can be, but being a professional designer, I have to make the point that 20 postcards for $20 (which $1 a card — actually over $1 a card when you toss in shipping) is NOT by any means a reasonable price. Standard retail pricing on printing for 1,000 postcards is about $200, which is 2 cents a card. Even given the abilities of moo's tools to enable folks to design their own who otherwise could not and the novelty factor ... as a promo item for your store, it's still a STEEP price. I would like this tool a LOT more if the price was $20 for 100 cards (20 cents per card)... at least that way they would last for more than a few minutes. Because honestly, 20 postcards will last about what 5-20 minutes? at the average busy craft show?

I just got mine and I love them. I was so happy to be able to put the items from my shop, made is so much easier. For the money they are worth it and something every seller should have. They are much better than business cards as they so that extra personal touch, which to me shows how much you value your business and your customers

FairLeiaOne says:
I can never understand why folks here praise Moo to the skies. While it is a good quality product served through a sleek interface, Moo is the most expensive company one could find! You might as well visit a professional neighborhood printer, pay him $50 for 1000 high gloss business cards (with your own designs, uploaded from a CD or memory card) and spend the rest of that dough you were going to donate to Moo on coffee and scones. Why use an overhyped and overpriced service? Moo might be a godsend to Europeans, but in the US, one could find same great quality for a fraction of the price. And you won't even have to look farther than the Yellow Pages.

Being a professional designer myself I totally agree with solsisters and FairLeiaOne even though I'm a European ;) MOO might offer a simple way to design and buy cards and stickers but the price is scary... And nothing beats an IRL visit to your local printer where you can actually SEE and FEEL different kinds of paper!

I agree, i purchased the sticker book for someone as a gift and was really happy with the product, but the price and shipping was a killer and has put me off purchasing anything else!!

That's very high compared to what I pay. Vistaprint is pretty cheap as far as on-line print goes, they're kinda slow, tho.
