Ever Wonder How to Stencil?

In case you missed Anda‘s live Stencil How-to in Workshop, you can check out this video. She walks you through all the steps and gives many a helpful pointer. It’s a demo complete with hot pink spray paint!

The Labs did this how-to in conjunction with a theme they’re working along for a couple weeks: custom fabric. The idea to create your own patterns and textures to make your raw materials more unique. For more on the theme and links to its exciting endeavors, see this blog post. You can do a search for "customfabric" on Etsy. The next Workshop meeting is on Thurs May 10 at 4pm EST.

Added bonus: we uploaded the original art Anda demos too, and you can get it on the Downloads page of the Team section.

great tutorial Anda, hadn't seen it before! Another way to get round the not-having-a-printer problem is to sticky tape the transparent plastic OVER you computer monitor and trace the design with a cd marker ;P .... make sure you have the plastic there though, haha, as otherwise you could be seeing that design a lot more than you'd hoped for!!
