I recently moved to Brooklyn to work for Etsy. Yeah. Excitement! I was excited to leave Detroit and get rid of all the furniture my Aunt gave me (think cream leather poofy couch). We sold it all to fund our move from Michigan. I won’t go into the wearisome process of finding a place to live in NYC. But let me tell you I’ve never been so delighted to be handed over a set of keys. My fiance and pup and I opened the door to a very lovely and very barren apartment and realized we had nothing to sit on. Not a thing to eat on. Nothing on the walls. Nothing to hang in the windows to prevent passers by from learing in at us. Eeeeek. So I began to dream of a great Etsy hunt for furnishings.
For the walls – a little bit of deadbird , yumiyumi and magicjelly.
To sit on? How about this rocking bench from zachbailey?

Have you ever worked in a candy store? I have. People always asked me, "How do you work here without eating candy all day?" I answered; "What do you mean? I DO eat candy every day." Now I work at Etsy – where the handmade goodies I find are much, much harder to resist than candy!
