Attention Shoppers!

We want to make the shopping experience better on Etsy and we need your help. We value your input and would love to gain some insight into your experience of Etsy’s current checkout process, how you find what you want to buy, and how you prefer to pay for your purchases.

If you’ve ever purchased on Etsy, please take our brief Shopper Survey. It’ll take three minutes! This survey will only be live until Sunday night, November 30, 2008, so please don’t delay!

    Would like to have seen some questions about satisfaction with customer service - how buyers feel they've been treated in terms of: communication, promptness in shipping, accuracy of item, etc.

    #12 is worded wrong. should say "if you answered yes to #11" (you have #10). I also would love to see the outcome of this survey.

    I did it :) And it is a great idea. I said there should be categories to save in Faves. If anyone is like me they have over 20 pages of faves and it is hard to remember where a certain item is when wanting to purchase it.

    I love surveys! I just wish I could have answered two answers for a couple of questions. For instance, I realy love paying with paypal on Etsy - and I do - but there are moments(the ones when I have no balance in paypal) when I would really love to pay by by credit card or debit card, processed through Etsy.

    Two questions could use clarification, I thought. 9. How many Etsy sellers do you typically buy from when you shop on Etsy? Does this mean in one shopping session? I assume? 14. Do you sell on Etsy? For this one, I used to sell, but I've closed down shop so I answered no. I assume that's accurate. I clicked on the last button and came back to the home page...did I complete the survey? Did it timeout? What happened? I expected a "Thanks for completing the survey page" or something.

    This really should be sent to all etsy users, not just the ones on the boards and those who read the blog. This is so important and it needs to reach all users, not just the few who frequent all aspects of the site and stumble upon the survey.

    ETSY is great place,an i hate to say this,but what better way is their? I'll Get right to POINT.ETSY you should have check out and Shipping cost as Ebay does.A buyer can check the cost in matter of CLICK.I bet 99 persent of members fell the same. This can be done.Thanks Dan...

    I sorely need a few different ways to slice and dice my Favorites - sequentially wading through hundreds of items is discouraging purchases! ;) At the very least, could you offer viewing items by categories, and by sellers? And, a search box? From a coding perspective, I imagine the way convo's are handled now (Show all conversations with [seller name]; and/or [choose tag]; plus search box) is reasonably simple to adapt to Favorites... Love ya.

    Why is it that I only found out about this survey via Etsy Bitch? I'm one of those sellers who doesn't frequent the fora or read the Storque, and this survey is important stuff for ALL of us. Is there a reason this wasn't sent to ALL users via email or put us a bulletin on our log in page like the site maintenance announcements? That's a question I would like to know the answer to. Can the Etsy users put together a survey for the Etsy staff? That would be a great demonstration of open communication between Etsy and its members.

    I found this also on Etsy Bitch...totally by blunder. How many people who are not also sellers are going to find and complete this survey? If I were just a regular buyer, I would probably have never blundered across it. You could at least have a scroll with a link on the front page.

    I would like to offer my one tiny opinion that I absolutely dislike the new searching results where it says: page 1, 2, 3, 4, 5..... because psychologically if I view each page, once I get to page 5 and see 5 more pages, then at page 10 there are 5 more pages, well I just get annoyed and stop searching. But if I knew there were let's say 17 pages total, I would be able to see the "finish line" and I would browse all pages. I much preferred the old style: page 1, 2, 3 ...... 17, 18 :( sorry but I guess that's just my vote.

    You need to let the public know how many pages are involved in a particular search. This is the internet and with this medium you have lost verbal and body language cues. Any form of communication has to be CLEAR CLEAR CLEAR!!! This is not the case within this site. Iif there are going to be major changes show us the respect that you expect from us and send Emails to all your users. Lack of communication is a manifistation of a lack of respect also. It doesn't necessarily need to be a nasty word to be disrespectful. As I age I find that sometimes the rudest people are usually the most honest and trustworthy. They show me respect by being honest and forthright. I know where I stand and am not continually needing to play guessing games to regain my balance. O would suggest that the companny take some of the $27,000,000 and offer tuition reimbursement for some communications classes.
