PollyPainting‘s blue Christmas tree literally made me squeal with delight. It really does look like something out of Dr. Seuss! How’s that for holiday cheer!

Awesome tree! Our tree is always a lovely conglomeration of old and new. We have 1950's glass baubles from my grandparents mixed with handmade paper ornaments my kids have made. There is no rhyme, reason or color scheme...it's just filled with amazing memories.

We went to Massoud's Tree farm, our second in a new family tradition. If you read the intro on their site about how the tree farm started, it's a wonderful place to go pick out a family tree. Their employees are really helpful with discussing tree types and sizes and repeatedly holding trees up so you can see them, and when you go in the room to pay it's a workshop full of busy family members making all the wreaths and things shown in the shopfront part of the barn in the picture, warmed by a big wood stove... now we just need to take our tree pictures! http://massoudstreefarm.com/

We went to Massoud's Tree Farm, our yearly tradition, for a traditional tree. The only thing crazy about it is how full of vintage glass ornaments it is, for having 2 cats and a toddler! If you read their website intro you'll see why Massoud's is a great place to get a real tree, and they have super-helpful employees, who will cheerfully lead you around the barn and hold up 25 trees for you to see well and compare, and when you go in the enclosed room to pay, there's a toasty wood stove [that barn is COLD!] and it's full of lively family and friends chatting and busily making all the wreaths and goodies for the shop part of the barn shown on their site- http://massoudstreefarm.com/ Wow, I'm a commercial for a tree farm! I really love going there!!

very pretty and bright, love the blue! This year- due to traveling for Christmas- we opted for a little potted tree- a lemon cypress from Whole Foods. We decorated it with this fun vintage bubble gum wrapper chain my mom made in the 60s!! Very fun. I'll try and post to the fliker group!

You guys all have such gorgeous, wonderful trees! I love the vintage ornaments. This was the first Christmas that my boyfriend and I actually decorated. I'm a retail worker so I'm really no big fan of traditional Christmas decorating. Sadly, all of my decorations were bought from the store that I work at, but I did try my best at being creative with what I got. Because I'm a bit of a Grinch around Christmas, my "theme" was inspired by True Blood. It's dark, but also very festive, and a wonderful treat to come home to every night! http://www.flickr.com/photos/bekanator/sets/72157622879361719/

My boyfriend and I are psycho about Christmas:) Since we live in an apartment, and can't decorate outdoors, we make up for it indoors, and decorate every room to the max-- even the bathroom:) We put up a 6 foot fake tree that gets swallowed up by our ever growing ornament collection! A few years ago we decided to actually get a real tree. What a disappointment! Does anyone else notice they have no smell anymore? I remember the house being flooded with that Christmas tree smell when I was little. But now nothing. So we're back to our fake tree and pine scented candles! http://www.flickr.com/photos/smidgegirl/4180387296/ And, of course, my sixth scale house gets decorated too. Every year I think I'll do up some amazingly creative tree that expresses my true inner self... then suddenly, it's mid-December, Christmas has snuck up on me again, and in between frantically baking and knitting, I toss up a tree, drape it with lights, and cover it with all the home-made ornaments from when my brothers and I were little... and it always ends up Just Right. I suppose, in the end, it DOES express me pretty well...

No tree this year. New kitty decided to take up residence in it so we had to take it down for fear he would hurt himself. I'll just have to enjoy all of your lovely trees. Thanks for sharing them!!

my tree is packed with woodland creatures, as is the rest of my living room. we opted for a natural tree this year so we could have the wonderful smell fill the house. i made some ornaments to match the theme. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=3062285&l=8c5e43b5ab&id=723083742 http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=3061635&l=2738fdd432&id=723083742 http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=3062287&l=a8f40a6213&id=723083742 http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=3062288&l=bf27353c6a&id=723083742 http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=3049675&l=47e7cd721b&id=723083742 http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=3048508&l=113bcf1033&id=723083742 http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=3067143&l=2e23d79a58&id=723083742 http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=3061627&l=a33aeb3e3b&id=723083742 http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=3061630&l=b70624e3fb&id=723083742 http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=3067143&l=2e23d79a58&id=723083742 and the year before that we had this crazy prink tree! <3 http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=3067073&l=81b007bce3&id=723083742

So much fun seeing everyone's Christmas trees! Most of the ornaments on our tree are ones that my Grandmother made when I was a kid. Every year she would make a new ornament for my sister and I, and attach them to the outside of our presents. Having all of these ornaments on our tree always fills me with warm memories of Christmas from my childhood. :) I'll try to take some pics soon!

I have a black Christmas tree. Unfortunately it's in storage this year as we will only be in Iowa until March, but my best friend in Michigan bought it for us last year when our old tree was riddled with mouse leavings. It's funny, because I have a pentagram star for the topper and it hangs inverted due to its weight, so we have dubbed it our "satanic" tree as a joke! http://www.viewbug.com/photo/147225

Some people have asked for info on how to get the same blue tree in the photo so I called the store to see if they still have any. She said they don't have that exact tree but they have some that are about 24" tall in turquoise and green and some hot pink ones. Here's their phone number 325-692-7239. The name of the store is "It's About Time" and it's in Abilene, Texas... they are not online yet. Hope this helps!

I love the blue tree. We do the traditional tree, sort of. I've been collecting unique, special ornaments for 30 years or more, many from Europe, so I have literally Hundreds of them. Our main tree is an old scrawny 4 footer on a rotating stand, that when I get all the ornaments on, It looks Beautiful. I used to put up 3 or 4 extra theme trees too. Hearts, Angels, Santas, Victorian etc. But this year I just put the big? tree up and used only 2 of the 5 big plastic storage boxes of decorations. Maybe next year I'll start sooner (and Bob won't spend a week in the hospital at decorating time). Christmas is my favorite holiday season. Happy Holidays Everyone ... Peace and Love ... Jill and Bob.

Here in Peru we create a Nativity Scene, it's more important to us than the tree. On Christmas Eve after going to the Church at midnight we place the Baby Jesus figure in the Nativity Scene, the kids open the presents and we have a Christmas Dinner and paneton and hot chocolate This is a Christmas Celebration on my house for poor children who live near our home, my cousins made the show, my uncle was the Snow Man, my mom and aunts prepared the hot chocolate, we all helped, even the kids. http://www.flickr.com/photos/40751260@N02/sets/72157623038748672/
