Thank you so much to the Quiltsy Team! 
Last summer, we commissioned this set of custom quilts to spell out “ETSY.COM.” It’s the first thing people see when they enter our new office, and it doubles as a movable wall for this now very cozy meeting room.
These quilts, like the Etsy community, spell out a big, bold vision. And when you get close up, you see so much distinctive variation in texture and detail.
The quilters also added a label on the back with all of their shop names, so Admin and guests can put a name to the stitching. 
Team leaders kimbuktu and Pamelaquilts coordinated the project. Pamelaquilts figured out the pattern and process of the banners, and did the coordinating between all the members who worked on it. kimbuktu encouraged the Team to take on the project, was the mediator between Etsy Admin and the Quiltsy Team, and collected the panels, finished them up, and shipped them on to Etsy.
Pictured here is ForQuiltsSake, who remarked that she didn’t have a big enough place in her house to photograph the entire “E” panel!
Teamwork is a beautiful thing, and we can’t thank the Quiltsy Team enough for their hard work and craftsmanship.

Thanks Etsy for the commission. This was a great group effort. I am proud to be an active part of this team, as well as contributing a block to the project. As you can see, we had free reign to use our interpretation of "beige" with any block of our choosing. None of them are duplicates owing to the vast creativity of this team. We have fantastic leaders with others stepping in where needed. The Quiltsy Team has enriched my etsy experience, but more than that, has helped me grow as a quilter.

Right now when I look around me I can see four quilts in my house. One we just received from our Hawaiian Grandmother-on my sweethearts side. and a quilt I made for my sweetie on his lounge chair, and two my mom made-a small one for the back of my desk chair and a lap quilt for my lounge chair. quilts are the best!

Quiltsy ROCKS! Such an amazing group of talented artists. I'm humbled to be a member in such an insiring team. Thanks to etsy for commissioning the project and a HUGE THANK YOU to the team leaders for coordinating this masterpiece. Different members made small panels that were mailed to others for combining into larger panels that were mailed to others for sashing and others for sashing, quilting and finishing. It was a huge undertaking and much fun to watch unfold. I was thrilled to play a supporting role in the beginning by donating fabric to three artists for their small panels. I hope this project brings years of enjoyment to etsy's offices.

It was indeed a challenge to design and coordinate a project of this size, and I have to say that the Quiltsy Team is very pleased with the outcome. I had the opportunity to see each of the individual blocks created by my fellow team members, and have to say that this is indeed a fellowship of true artists and that the quality and originality of each piece is top of the line! We are all proud to have our work hang in the office, and hope that this will encourage people to see the versatility of the art of quilting.

Ohmygoodness I'm so excited to see these pictures!!!! It was so much fun to be a part of this project and I love how it lets me feel like a little piece of myself is now a part of Etsy! As a team we got to see each members blocks up close as they were completed and the variety and skill that many of them possess was so inspiring to me! I do not have the utter talent that some of out members do to make the very intricate designs of some of the blocks - mine is just a little ol' applique tree - my favorite thing to make. :) But I am so humbled to have been able to be included in the project, nonetheless. Thank you thank you to Etsy for the opportunity and to the team leaders who coordinated everything!! Who-hoo!!

I love how all the shades of cream and beige blend together so well, even though they came from many different fabric collections. Actually all of the shops who contributed are not listed on the label in the pic. There were too many of us I think. Only those who put the blocks together and finished it from there and the planners are listed. (unless there is another label that is not shown) It's very exciting to finally see the panels hanging in the Etsy offices. We had a lot of fun working on it. It was very interesting to see what each person came up with in their choice of fabrics and design.
