- Realization that I’ve had the same toenail polish on since my friend’s wedding in November. (I also realized that one’s toenails grow very slowly. No, they do not look like these nails.)
- I picked up a pile of mail on my desk only to reveal the cards I meant to send out for Christmas that had turned into Happy New Years cards, but will now be sent out as awkward St Patrick’s Day/Please-don’t-write-me-off greetings.
- Begging my co-workers to crack my back. Massage oil is inappropriate, right?
- Chaperoning my husband’s college age sister to Ft. Lauderdale for Spring Break because I’m that desperate for sunshine. I’m scoping out the swimsuit styles.
- Yoga after I don’t know how long, muscles I didn’t know I had a-quivering. When the instructor said “child pose” I interpreted that as “fetal position.”
- SPLIT ENDS SPLIT ENDS SPLIT ENDS. Help me, Jojoba!
- Rationalization of pajamas as elements of my “look.” These slippers work, right?
- I want to buy this spa kit as a post-Valentine’s Day gift for myself.
- I’m thinking about writing my representatives to have Daylight Savings (just the “Spring Forward” day) made into a national holiday. I am really, I mean really, excited that it’s staying light out past 5pm. (There are some fun vintage sunset items BTW.)
- While browsing Etsy, I caught myself saying, “Ooo! I need these super cute Carpal Tunnel Syndrome arm-warmers!”

I realized this a few weeks ago. At my job we have one of those Starbucks Interactive Brewer Machines (in case you need a visual go here http://sitening.com/blog/starbucks-icup-in-the-house/). Anyways, I realized that I was just going through the motions, poured in the half and half, hit the buttons and waited for my coffee. What happened between mine and the coffee maker's friendship... I was just going through the motions.
