Canning in Brooklyn, NY:
We’re pleased to announce the second Eatsy Food Labs, a series of hands-on workshops centered around making food! Last week we had a ball concocting plum jam and canning tomatoes. (Check out the photos here.)
To continue the Eatsy Food Labs series on Monday, October 4, our in-house Eatsy cooks, Caroline Glover and Emily Davis, will demonstrate how to pickle and save the last tastes of summer for the cooler months ahead. Each session is limited to 20, so sign up fast, and come ready to pickle.

Crafting in San Francisco, CA:
Craft Bar With Etsy Labs at the Museum of Craft and Folk Art in San Francisco
Join us as we celebrate the first anniversary (wowee!) of Craft Bar with Etsy Labs. Student Night returns this month, and everyone can enjoy prizes, music, and refreshments from Tropiseuno. Resident crafters will instruct the making of cozy sock skeletons, pumpkin plushies from recycled sweaters, and printmaking using traditional Mexican pictograph designs. Visiting artists Meighan O’Toole, author of the blog My Love For You, will be making god’s eyes and Katy Kristin will show you how to sew cuddly plushies, like this black cat. For those who prefer a less-structured crafting experience, perfect your knitting and crocheting skills in our free-form Stitch and Bitch area. Drinks kindly provided by Trumer Pils. $5 admission to the gallery includes materials and instruction for all crafts, and students are free.
