The work to internationalize Etsy.com is underway, and a month or so ago, we quietly established our first international office in Berlin, Germany: Etsy Labs Berlin. On April 1, we will open the space officially with a grand party. Everyone is invited! Please RSVP here. In the lead-up to this exciting event, Etsy will be going Euro for a week. No, we will not be wearing those French fisherman shirts, installing a monarchy, or adding some vons and vans to our last names. We will, however, be doing beaucoup d’autres choses.
From March 22 through March 27, 2010, we’ll be celebrating the European art and artists of Etsy with special home pages, emails, Guest Curators, Featured Sellers, events, information for doing business globally, and so, so much more.
Furthermore, you too can join in the spass (fun)!
From March 22 to March 27 show your love for European art, craft and vintage in any number of ways.
Artists, Go Global!
Tell the world where you are; add your location to your profile and to your product tags. Expand your horizons and begin shipping to other countries. Etsy is a global marketplace, and you’ll vastly increase your customer base if you ship internationally. Here’s some Help info if you need to brush up.
Shoppers, Buy Global.
Why not get a little taste of another culture by purchasing an item from old Europa or somewhere else far-flung? You can filter search results by “ship to country.”

Make Etsy Treasuries featuring European artists. We’ll be looking for them for the home page.
