Etsy Statistics: February 2010 Weather Report

February was another great month for our community. As we expected, the numbers were a bit lower than January, but considering the fact that we are comparing a 31-day month to a 28-day month, we are very pleased with the results.

The stats:

  • $20.2 million of goods were sold by our community in February; roughly 1% higher than January’s $20 million.
  • That represents 1,186,311 items sold for the month, 1% lower than January’s 1,194,132.
  • 1,830,825 new items were listed in the month, 7% lower than January’s 1,958,906.
  • 236,034 new members joined the Etsy community in the month, down 5,994, or 3% from January.
  • 678,957,311 page views were recorded on the site this month.

The $20.2 million of goods sold by the community represents a 96% increase from from 2009′s total. At the same time, items sold were up 74%. Sellers continue to do a better job of pricing their items, thus increasing their income.
