It’s Euro Week at Etsy

There are about 50 or so countries in Europe, (45 “main” ones, as well as a handful of other diplomatically recognized entities within them). Amazingly enough, in the last month on Etsy we had visitors from every single one of them. From Albania to Vatican City and everywhere in between — yes, even in all those tiny “M” countries like Moldova, Monaco, Malta and Macedonia, scores of Europeans are buying and selling beautiful handmade and vintage objects on Etsy.

So, for the next five days on Etsy, we are saying danke, gracias, merci, grazie, Tak, Cheers, Tanke, Mahd-lob, Barkal, among other things, while we honor our European brothers and sisters with a special celebration we call Euro Week.

Throughout this week you’ll see special Euro-themed home pages, emails, Guest Curators, and Featured Sellers. We’re also excited to announce that we’ll be launching two new blogs — one in German and one in French. Behind the scenes, we will be speaking only Italian, Spanish, French, German, or Finno-Ugric languages in the office. We’ll also be eating dinner later in the evening.
