Bonjour à toutes et à tous! My name is Amelie and I’m a new member of the Etsy international team.

Amity and Matt already introduced me to you via their blog posts, but I thought it would be more polite to say hello myself!

I’ve been a blogger for a very long time, sharing my photographs and DIY finds, and even making some of my own. I opened a little Etsy shop last year, and have been loving my worldwide Etsy experience ever since.

It’s very exciting for me to say that in a short while you’ll read articles about the French-speaking DIY community — in French. I’ll be writing from Paris, where I’ll also be teaming up with Stéphanie, a.k.a. detourneuse, who is helping Etsy organize events, manage partnerships, and reach the French media.

If you have story ideas, themes or artists you think we should know about, please tell us. We’re always looking for fresh topics! We’ll seek the help of all French-speaking Etsians from Montreal to Brussels.

Let’s show them the full extent of French crafting creativity! In order to make it easier for me to find you, make sure the location is filled out in your profile, and tag your items with “francais.” You can tag your country as well.

    I went on a high school trip to Paris in the late 60's and fell in love with it despite my young age. Sacre Coeur and Montmatre are still some of my favorite places. Seeing this I wish I was there now....thanks and welcome!

    Bonjour! the extent of my French is to say "cest que vous mange?" which I think means "what would you like to eat?" which means if I ever went to Paris I could at least work in a restaurant..that didn't serve drinks!
