Yeah, I'm having trouble with absolut as well -- it seems the site can't handle the data load. It's incredibly s-l-o-w, and I've had to backtrack several times. I tried visiting the site itself, and the only items that loaded were a couple of Comic Sans text lines. It might be because Etsyers are coming forth with such an overwhelming response. I reeeeally want to take this survey because I heart Etsy really hard!

The survey popped up automatically when I pulled up Etsy.com before I signed in. So - that's nice since more visitors should notice that there is a survey. However, it was VERY slow. Took almost 30 minutes. I stuck with it since I'm a seller, but I sincerely doubt that a casual visitor will spend that kind of time. And I think we need to hear from everyone to be a good survey.

A couple problems with the survey to note for fixing the next time you do a survey: 1. Inappropriately short character limits for some of the questions (favorite blogs, TV shows). 2. Checkbox lists that don't offer you a "None of the Above" option. You'll never get useful data from a question like that, because it forces people to choose an option that isn't true (events planned for the coming year). 3. The option to not answer questions about household income. I know you want complete data, but a lot of people will see that question and just stop. If you give them the option of saying, "I choose not to answer this question," you'll get a lot more people finishing the survey.

Took the survey despite the fact that I can't win the prize :-( The question about the income - is if for a month or for a year? Not sure about that... Some of the questions (can't remember which ones) did not offer all the potential options - had to choose one semi relevant... I wrote many questionnaires in my life time. Am not so sure what was the MAIN purpose of this one... Thanks for asking though...

I took the survey, but I couldn't be honest about what I sell or buy the most, because you forgot to put the Dolls and Miniatures category on the list. So... my regular buyers cannot tell the truth on the survey either (should they take it), because if they buy the most from me, and my category doesn't exist in the survey, they'll have to make something up or leave it all blank. Otherwise, it was a fun quiz and I hope you get great response from it! ♥

Did the survey and forgot to add something to my wish list for Etsy question .....I would love Etsy to have a way to put things in a showcase and save it-that way when/if those things sell and you forget to replace them in the showcase line up you don't end up with a blank spot that you've paid $ for. Sometimes between 2 preschoolers, orders to get made and out on time, and the constant pile of dishes and laundry to do I forget to go in and make sure my line up isn't full of listings that have sold and will not show up in the showcase. LOVE the idea of an IPAD what a GREAT prize!!!

did the survey, Hope I win (I think I haven't won something like this since I was a kid)... Thanks for the comments section. However, there are flaws in the way the survey is designed (some flaws caught by others, ie: leaving out supply sellers and vintage) also the "none of the above" option should be "Other" with a chance to fill in a blank to give more information. Care needs to be made, when forming surveys, not to encourage answers in one direction or another... as you want your data to be USEFUL, not "just give you the answer you want." This can be a difficult thing to do.

Thanks for the opportunity to let you know how Etsy can improve (it's such a great site already that running even smoother and faster for listings and shipping would only make it greater), and that incentive is wonderful.
