Trends: A Love Triangle With Decor8

She has been blogging since January 2006, and we’re particularly fond of her weekly column called Etsy Take Five Tuesdays. She is also a weekly columnist at Real Simple magazine online and also founded Blogging Your Way, a series of online workshops about creative blogging, writing from the heart, and making a blog a personal reflection of your own style and taste. Holly demonstrates her support of independent designers by promoting their work and shopping from them.

“I ran into Isosceles. He had a great idea for a new triangle!” — Woody Allen

Triangle motifs are hot — have you noticed? Lots of designers are incorporating them into their products, from wallpaper to rugs, fabric to fashion. You can find this popular polygon popping up in subtle applications, as well as big and bold swatches. Of course, whenever there is a trend, Etsy sellers are all over it. I like to see how creators interpret trends such as this, as well as the surfaces they’re applying these patterns to — fabric, ceramic, canvas, paper and wood. From equilateral to scalene, isosceles to obtuse and beyond, you can find triangles being worked from many different “angles.” I’ve collected some of my favorites from talented Etsy sellers. Enjoy!
