We asked our readers to nominate their favorite earth-friendly items for Earth Day. Now it’s your turn to vote for the item that inspires you to conserve energy, plant a tree and live sustainably — not only this Earth Day, but every day.
The vote will close this Thursday, April 22, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. ET. A selection of the winners will be featured on Etsy’s home page that same day in honor of Earth Day. Show your favorite sellers some love and get out the vote! Next week’s and future voting topics will be announced and open for community nominations each Monday in the Admin announcement section of the Forums.

My contribution to Earth Day has been a week-long event of planting vegetables in a brand new garden at my home. My husband and I love fresh fruits and vegetables but don't want to pay the "price" of pesticides, hormones and preservatives from the items we can buy at the local grocery store. What we don't get from our own garden comes from the local farmer's market. We've learned to eat seasonally and grow as much as possible. Mary - thank you for the wonderful finds and I love all of the upcycling and recycling we're seeing in our wonderful community of artisans.
