Since moving to New York, Halloween has become one of my favorite nights to roam the streets and cross paths with my fellow city dwellers, who are even more fantastically decked out than usual. In celebration of this very handmade holiday, we’ll spend our next Craft Night stitching Halloween-themed appliques and reusable trick-or-treat candy bags with sewing wizard and Etsy Admin, Kim Grassie, a.k.a. kgeeme and tinyhearts. You may recall her wallet sewing Craft Night and “fabrucket” How-Tuesday post.
This project is suitable for stitchers of all skill levels and all supplies will be provided. We’ll sew away on our beautiful BERNINA sewing machines. The bag you make this evening will accompany you (or your pint-size friends) for many Halloweens to come. It’s also oh-so-much more fun than a ratty old pillowcase or a disposable plastic bag! You can also just stitch an applique on anything you’d like, if you don’t need another bag in your life. Either way, join us for a sewing session at 4:15 or 6:15 p.m. at the Etsy Labs, or online at 3:30 p.m. ET in the Online Labs!
Where: 55 Washington Street, Suite 712 (7th floor) Brooklyn, New York, 11201
When: Monday, October 24.
RSVP for the 4:15 p.m. session or for the 6:15 p.m. session.
Webcast: If you can’t make it in person, we will be hosting a live Online Lab at 3:30 p.m. ET
