Come Wrap Up Holiday Gifts at Etsy Labs

Well, we did it! 2011 has been quite the year for Craft Night at the Etsy Labs. We set up shop in a beautiful new space in DUMBO, Brooklyn looking out over the glittering city and the blue steel of the Manhattan Bridge. We have gathered together to meet, learn, and make everything from hydroponic planters to one-hour skirts, with an amazing group of talented teachers. We took hilarious photo booth pictures, danced to a brass band at Craft Party, learned how to brew beer, and soaked up the wisdom of speakers across a spectrum of fields. Before this year is out the door and we tumble into a new one, I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who has joined us at the Etsy Labs as a participant, teacher, speaker, volunteer, and sponsor. Without each of you, this year wouldn’t have been the force of knowledge, creativity, and community that it was. Thank you for an exciting year!

For our last Craft Night of 2011, we invite you to the Etsy Labs to wrap up your handmade holidays. Put the finishing touches on your creations at this free-form evening of making, and wrap your gifts in handmade gift wrap. We’ll have stations set up for you to make your own gift wrap, boxes, and envelopes, fold paper ornaments, tons of trim and ribbon to tie up your packages, and free tables for you to whip up some last-minute gifts (not that you waited till the last second or anything…).  Please mark your calendars, in January we’re taking a little hiatus, so this will be the last Craft Night until February 2012. Stay tuned!

When: Monday, December 19. Drop in between 4-8 p.m. (Clean up starts at 7:45 p.m.)
