Daniel and Valeria, also known as Hindsvik, live in a humble home a few minutes from Lake Erie in Port Colborne, Canada. Inspired by Scandinavian and Japanese style, they have found a true labor of love in renovating and decorating their nest. Their online business of vintage home decor and furniture leads to many hours spent hunting for treasures in antique stores and auction houses.
Wandering through their quiet home brings an inherent sense of harmony and peace. Complex and sophisticated vignettes of vintage objects pop in this bright, minimalist environment. This domestic congruence is an apt reflection of their personalities: gentle, humble, focused and passionate. Daniel and Valeria have found the secret to making a small space look majestic and are spreading the gospel through mid-century modern coffee tables and West German pottery.

Very lovely, but where is all of their 'stuff'? So easy to be minimalist with no children. And why aren't they freezing? It looks very cold outside and inside. This is not a criticism of the Hindsvik style, just an observation from a person who likes it warm and chaotic.

Greeting from Seattle- I enjoyed your film very much. Over the years, I have sailed to Pt. Colborne with my dad several times from Buffalo. I grew up in Western NY. The lake is very different in the winter! Thanks for sharing the beautiful shots of your peaceful home and for the winterscapes. I am very familiar with that winter light and I miss it out here in the Pacific NW, though we do have our own beautiful natural light. That warm glow on horizon, the snow and the bare trees will always mean home to me.
