Hey, Los Angeles and San Francisco! Clear your calendar for the evening of Thursday, February 2, as you and yours are invited to a night of meeting and making at your local craft museum. Read on for all the tidbits.

 

 

 

 

Craft Bar at Museum of Craft & Folk Art in SF

Be your own valentine this year – or make something special for your sweetie! Craft Bar has you covered either way. Make heart pins (full or broken, depending on your outlook) with Roz Chang, and learn the delicate art of finger-knitting with MOCFA’s own Linda Janklow. Drown your sorrows or toast to your love with libations from Trumer Pils. Yarn kindly donated by Be Sweet. The admission of $5 includes materials, tips, and tricks.

When: Thursday, February 2  from 6 to 8 p.m. PT at MOCFA.
Where: Museum of Craft and Folk Art at 51 Yerba Buena Lane, San Francisco, CA

 

Craft Night at Craft and Folk Art Museum in LA

Create a personalized journal with Lisa Engelbrecht, author of Modern Calligraphy and Hand Lettering. Lisa will begin by creating a nameplate for you in her distinctive lettering style. Then, you’ll customize a MakeReady Journal created from the waste papers of the printing process with your nameplate and all sorts of cool materials. $5 admission includes materials and snack. Free admission for members of CAFAM. RSVP is suggested to rsvp@cafam.org
