Here’s Jan, designer and creator of these audacious dancing leg earrings.

When I was growing up, we didn’t have a television, so I used to go my friend’s house. This was in the very early days of television, and there was a cigarette commercial I remember well; I think it was Pall Mall cigarettes, as this was in the early 1950s. I just thought that commercial was the epitome of sophistication and joie de vivre. I just loved the blocky shape of the dancing cigarette pack and the legs underneath. I had no idea that it referred to chorus girls.

To add to the joke of these earrings, I made one of the girls dancing out of step.

    I love these earrings! I can't decide if they remind me more of those old Elvis swinging leg clocks or the leg lamp from A Christmas Story, aside from the obvious cigarette girls.
