(Music by Niklas Aman)
Snowboard pioneers Martin and Jogi built their first board because they wanted to experience the feeling of surfing upon snow. That was 1983. From those humble beginnings, Pogo Boards was born. Today, they build and ship high-quality, handmade decks to all parts of the world from their reconstructed farmhouse workshop in southern Germany. For them, quality craftsmanship and quality of life go hand in hand.
Paul Jax and Niclas Loeffler are a filmmaking duo based in Munich, Germany under the name of We Make Them Wonder. They have a passion for making portraits about people who dedicate their lives to their passion.
This film has been nominated for a German Webby in the FYI category and is in the running for the audience award. Vote now!

I know, right? I could watch that shot of them swinging their arms and going down that hill for a long time. And what a friendship.

I want a handmade longboard. A friend of mine has one and I want his. Unfortually, it wouldn't do me much good since I don't know how to work one. But not to worry, it is on my bucket list, fairly high up as well.

Wonderful! It means a lot to see the passion and skill that goes into the behind-the-scenes process of making the boards with their own hands. The film is beautiful & inspiring!

I will agree that this is an awsome video. Really nice to see the love for handcrafting incorporated into everyday life. Seems to bring about a simpler aspect. Yeah, I want to be able to pump down the hill at 50 as well!!

What a beautiful film -so nicely done, Niclas and Paul! I used to work in a snowboard manufacturing facility (very hand built) that looked so much like the inside of your farmhouse, Jogi and Martin. I could smell the sawdust and resin, while watching the film! And I had the extreme privilege of riding one of your carving boards for a whole year in 1993. I just loved it! It was one of the most responsive boards I have ever ridden -it just became part of me. And then I had to give it back : ( What a pleasure to see you here and in this lovely film! Best, Andie

I love longboards a lot more than skateboards, they are easier to ride and faster! Plus it's fun to decorate! I did an Egyptian theme on mine!
