I absolutely love Halloween. When I was growing up, we had two simple rules for the holiday: first, our costumes had to be created by us — no store-bought costumes allowed! (To this day I cannot fathom purchasing something from a costume store.) The second rule was that we had to be something that we weren’t in our everyday lives; the true meaning of a costume is dressing up as something you’re not.
Here, I’ve assembled four costume ideas; each of these looks are easy to pull off with products from Etsy and a few items pulled from your closet. Best of all, many of the items used to create these looks can be worn or used long after Halloween!
