Etsy for iPhone: Shop Stats and More

It’s hard to believe that just two months ago we were celebrating the 1 millionth download of Etsy for iPhone. We’ve already reached over 1.5 million downloads of the app, sending countless one-of-a-kind items into the pockets of eager Etsy members around the world. Almost 1 in 5 visits to Etsy is from a mobile device, so we are certainly motivated to continue developing the best possible experience for our buyers and sellers on the go!

In that spirit, today we’re introducing some fresh updates to Etsy for iPhone. For buyers, we’ve added new ways to explore items on Etsy. In addition to shopping by category, you can now browse your Activity Feed and shop by channel (such as “Kids” and “Home”). You can even customize which channels you see, so the experience is just right for you.

The search function has also become more robust, enabling you to search for people, in addition to shops and items. And we’ve made it easier to share great finds, so all your friends can see what’s piquing your interest on Etsy!

For our busy sellers, we know you’ve been yearning to dig into your shop metrics as you wait in line at the coffee shop. With the updated iPhone app, you’ll now be able to see Shop Stats while away from your computer, and even receive an alert for when you’ve made a sale (cha-ching!). Combined with our recently-announced change to billing and item renewals, we hope these updates will make remotely managing your Etsy shop easier, and provide peace of mind when you’re out and about.

If you’ve already downloaded the app, you can get the update by going to the App Store from your iPhone and clicking on Updates. To add the app to your phone, simply search for Etsy in the App Store. And for you Android users — we’re in the process of hiring an Android developer, so stay tuned!
