Join us on July 17 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. for a night of machine sewing and crocheting at the Etsy Labs in Brooklyn. Choose one of two projects and leave with the perfect reusable tote.

Bags for the People is back to teach a machine sewing project. These drawstring cloth bags help cut down on plastic use at farmers’ markets and grocery stores. With their expertise, our Bernina sewing machines, and patterned textiles from Timeless Treasures Fabrics, we’ll have you off plastic bags for good.

Not sure what to do with your stash of plastic bags? Claire from Montclair Made has the perfect solution. Bring your plastic collection (she recommends 20-30 bags), spin them into “plarn,” and crochet into the perfect picnic tote.
