Craft Bar in Chicago: Art of the Heart
This month’s Craft Bar Chicago event celebrates all things Valentine’s Day! We’ll be making Victorian scrapbook valentines, crochet heart garlands, and learning the fine art of paper embroidery. $5 gets guests all of the supplies and instructions to make each project, plus snacks and drinks. Feel free to bring a craft you are working on as well.
When: Friday, February 1, from 6 to 8 p.m. CT
Where: Mignonette, 1747 West Belmont Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60657
Craft Night in Los Angeles: Printed Cards
We’re busting out the carving tools and letterpress in the courtyard of the Craft and Folk Art Museum so you can design and print your own cards. You’ll be able to cut and stamp a small relief print and generate a set of custom cards. Our turn-of-the-century letterpress will also be out and set up with a Valentine’s Day themed phrase so you can print a couple and check out how the press works. Admission is $7 or free for CAFAM members, and covers materials, snacks, drinks, and instruction. RSVP is suggested: email@example.com.
When: Thursday, February 7, from 7 to 9 p.m. PT
Where: Craft and Folk Art Museum, 5814 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, California
