Privacy

This Privacy Policy describes how and when I collect, use, and share information when they purchase an item from me, contact me, or otherwise use my services through Etsy.com or related websites and services.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that are not owned and controlled by me, including Etsy and any third-party services they access through Etsy. You can learn more about Etsy's privacy practices in Etsy's Privacy Policy.

In order for me to process their order, they must provide me with certain information (for which they have authorized Etsy to provide it to me). This includes their name, email address, mailing address, payment information, and details of the product they are ordering. They also have the option to provide me with further personal information (for example, for a custom-made product) if they contact me directly.

I refer to a number of legal bases to collect, use and share their data. Specifically:
• to the extent I need their information to provide my services, for example, to process their order, resolve conflicts or provide customer support;
• if it is necessary to comply with a legal obligation or court order, or in connection with legal claims, such as the need to retain information about their purchases due to tax legislation; and
• to the extent necessary for the purposes of my legitimate interests – provided that these legitimate interests are not overridden by their rights or interests – such as 1. to provide and improve my services. I use their information to provide the services they have requested from me and in my legitimate interest to improve my services; and 2. to comply with Etsy's Seller Policy and Terms of Use. I use their information as necessary to fulfill my obligations under Etsy's Seller Policy and Terms of Use.

Customer data is important to my business. I only disclose your personal data for certain reasons and in very specific circumstances, as follows:
• Etsy: I share information with Etsy as needed to fulfill my obligations under Etsy's Seller Policy and Terms of Use.
• Service Providers: I hire certain trusted third-party service providers to perform tasks and provide services for my store, such as mail and parcel services. I share your personal data with these third-party providers, but only to the extent necessary to perform these services.
• Compliance with laws: I may collect, use, retain and disclose your information if I have a good faith belief that it is appropriate and necessary to: a) respond to legal process or regulatory requirements; b) enforce my contracts, terms and policies; c) prevent, investigate and remedy fraud and other illegal activities, security or technical problems or d) protect the rights, property and safety of my customers or other persons.

I only store your personal data for as long as it is necessary to provide you with my services and as described in my Privacy Policy. However, it is possible that I may need to retain this information in order to comply with legal obligations and regulations, resolve disputes and enforce my agreements. In general, I keep their data for the following period: 4 years.

I may store and process their information through third-party hosting services in the U.S. and other countries. Therefore, I may transfer your personal data to countries whose data protection and regulatory surveillance laws differ from the corresponding laws in your country. If I am expected to transfer information about them to countries outside the EU, I rely on the EU-US Privacy Shield as the legal basis for the transfer, as Google Cloud is certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield.

If they reside in certain regions, including the EU, they have a number of rights in relation to their personal data. Some of these rights apply in general and others only in certain cases. These rights are described below:
• Access: You may have the right to access and obtain a copy of the personal data I hold about you by writing to me using the contact information below.
• Modification, restriction, deletion: You may also have the right to change your personal data, restrict my use of this data or delete it. With the exception of exceptional circumstances (such as when I need to store data for legal reasons), I will generally delete your personal data upon request.
• Objection: You can object to (1) that I process some of your data with regard to my legitimate interests and (2) that you receive marketing messages from me after having previously expressly consented to this. In such cases, I will delete your personal data, unless I can prove convincing legitimate reasons for its further use or it is necessary for legal reasons.
• Complaint: If they reside in the EU and wish to raise concerns about my use of their data – without prejudice to any other rights to which they are entitled – they are entitled to address these concerns to your local data protection authority.

For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation, I, Marie Ruprecht-Wimmer, am the data controller of your personal data. If you have any questions or concerns, you can contact me via Etsy Contact. Alternatively, you can write to me at the following address:
