Love the pencil roving. Makes great fingering weight thick-and-thin yarn when plied with pearl cotton. Equally great chunky two-ply yarn if two singles are plied together. |

This stuff is terrific! I love to spin animal fibers, but I had stayed away from cotton. No more. This stuff is EASY to spin-- the key is not to draft it at all. Just leave the fibers where they are, twist them one way, then ply them the other way. It makes a perfectly even, chunky 2-ply cotton yarn with a really soft hand. I'm buying more of this stuff for sure. Also, the seller sent a lovely handwritten note. Made me feel that I was receiving a package from a friend, rather than just buying something. |
