Has this already been done?
Seems like we end up asking the same questions about these. Since Etsy apparently has its own, unique forms of expression, what if we keep this as an ongoing reference for people rather than explaining all the time? People can just add to the list and keep it alphabetical if this seems like a good idea? A kind of wiki thing?
We can also add the link that someone mentioned about online acronyms.
My first new one was
OOAK - one of a kind
However, bump had me stumped -- apparently it's a way of saying we're shifting the topic now?
So my preliminary beginning of this list would be:

PIF = pay it forward. i'd never heard of this one till i came here. there are some other *IF's that i'm not yet sure of ... i think TRIF = trade it forward?
