3rd Etsy Swap - "Will You Be My Partner?" Swap - Sign-ups Now!

This is the time of year when Homecoming Dances, Football Games, Parades and Fall Ball’s start taking place. Its fun to have a date for the Dance but you gotta find a date first so………

The Idea of this Swap is: You will “Invite” another Etsyian to be your Swap Partner......That’s right! You gotta ask someone “out” for a crafting/swapping date. I would like to thank Rackycoo on Craftster.org for allowing me to use her idea in this swap.

Here’s how it goes:

You will start thinking of someone who you would like to swap with. Is there someone you have been admiring from afar? Someone who tickles your fancy? Someone who makes the most awesome items that you have been yearning for? Now is the time to get up the nerve to ask them out for a Swapping "Date". You all will find your own partners in this swap. I will not be matching anyone up. It’s totally up to you to find your partner. So Happy Hunting!! Batting your eyes and whispering "Sweet Nothings" may help...

Now asking someone out comes with rejection sometimes. Don’t be discouraged and don’t take it personally. You may get turned down for any number of reasons; maybe the person you are inviting is too busy, doesn’t like to swap, may have already accepted another invite, etc…..but whatever the reason, don’t be offended..take the decline graciously and continue to search for your “date” to the swapping dance. I have allowed 2 weeks of “searching” time…you can get a great “date” for the “swap dance” in this time.

There will not be a $$ limit to this swap…just make sure that you and your partner agree on the size/$$ limit of the gifts. Both you and your partner must send the following info to: weluvetsyswap [!at] gmail.com

a.) Your real name
b.) Your real address
c.) Your email address
d.) Your Shop Name
e.) Your Partner’s Name

You and Your Partner must both email me to consider yourselves in the Swap and "Partnered" up.

Ideas:

1.) This would be a great swap to invite a “Newbie” to be your partner.
2.) There is a list floating around the Forums with shop names of all who had mentioned they would like to trade/swap; you could ask someone on that list to be your partner.

3.) You could post a message in this thread that you are “available” and looking for a “date”

4.) Once you find a partner, you both can decide on a “theme”, colors, likes, dislikes, allergies, amount of items you want to swap, etc.

To Sum it up:

1.) Find a partner and invite them out – Invite them to be your Partner for this swap. Don’t be discouraged if you are turned down – try finding someone else.

2.) You both will create for each other. There is no $$ limit to this swap. You both will decide.

3.) Once you find a partner – you BOTH must email me your info to: weluvetsyswap [!at] gmail.com

4.) I must hear from both of you; that you both agree to be each others’ partner. I will not consider you “partnered” up until I hear from both of you.

5.) Required Send out is 10/23/06. Please put forth all efforts to meet this deadline. Your partner is counting on you. If you will be late sending out, please notify me and your partner of this.

6.) Keep in touch with your partner throughout the entire swapping process. Please keep a good line of communication open.

7.) A Delivery Confirmation for USA deliveries is highly recommended in this swap; at the very least keep a copy of the receipt proving the item(s) were sent.

8.) Be sure to consider whether you will ship outside the USA. The person you are interested in may live outside the USA.

9.) If you don't want to Swap but would like to be on stand by as a Swap Angel please email: weluvetsyswap [!at] gmail.com and let me know if you would like to be an Angel. I can then share your name with someone should they need you.

The question was.."Can You ask out more than one person or accept more than one invite?"

The answer is YES...but just be sure you can manage all of these "dates"...if you wanna swap with 2 people, 3, 4...whatever but you have to make something for them back......just don't overextend yourself.
