Last time I had to leave the forums

Original Post
I spent the majority of the late night/early morning in a hospital waiting room so maybe this is not the best time to post this, maybe too emotional, but here goes.
I did not post in the forums for a long time last year after the behavior of some of the users got under my skin and I felt it better be ignorant than angry. I realize we all have opinions but the flaming (not directed at me by the way but at others) got so bad it made me sick to my stomach. Yesterday I asked for some opinions about a subject that I had no idea would get so out of hand. I tried to keep it civil to no avail so I bowed out of the conversation.
When I log on to Etsy I like to check my "threads you have posted in" to see if there has been more information than when I last posted, such as in the "how to re-line vintage coat?" thread. I always hope to learn new techniques from other crafters and stitchers. I don't appreciate being called stupid so once again I will be leaving the forums. I have enough stress in my life to deal with and I don't need any more. Some one once said you can pick your friends but you can't pick your family. I am unpicking you.
P.S. if you check 'my favorites' in my shop, on the second page is something I hearted quite a while back

Sorry you had to deal with such unpleasantness. Should you care to join some of us who also have little tolerance for the same, please feel to drop on in anytime to chat. We can't always promise intelligent conversations and/or witty reparte, but we are darn nice to each other. www.etsy.com/forums_thread.php?thread_id=5190952

I'm sorry you feel you have to leave the forums again. You asked a resonable question, and got what I thought were reasonable answers. Most just didn't happen to agree with you.
I think what you were asking for was censorship based on your perception of what is acceptable in the main stream. But, your perception(with apologies to Marshall McLuhan) are not reality, they are only opinions.
