Hi!

My name is Erin McDonald. You all most likely know me by my main account, CagedBirdSings, here on etsy. Awhile ago I had the notion to start up a scarf drive/ scarf making session to try and raise scarves for the homeless.

hence "Knit for Neighbors". Its getting prettttyyy chilly out here in Denver (where I live) and It'd be nice to be able to give back to the community by donating scarves to those out on the streets.

I did a scarf drive in August and it went AMAZING. I had people on etsy and all over the world sending me scarves! a close to 40 scarves total.

Anything sold in my shop also goes to raising money for yarn. which gets made into scarves and hats. which go to.. guess who? the homeless of Denver.

The drive I did last time went to a woman's institution for homeless ladies called the Delores Project. I'll be delivering them monday and oh BOY am I excited.

SO! I'm back etsy!

Would you be willing to donate again to my cause? I need MALE scarves as I will be trying to hand deliver them on the streets (with my dad and others).

If you'd be interested please convo me and I'll send you my address. the deadline will be February the 15th. :) so get making those scarves!

Can't make scarves? but want to help out? all sales for this month will go to more manly looking colored yarn :).

If I donate does the scarf have to be knitted?? I don't know how to do that :)

I'd be willing to knit a scarf! Is acrylic ok? It's all I have on hand right now! It's dark gray too, so that's a manly color.

Nope! the scarf can be however you make it. I use looms so hehe :).

acrylic is fine.

when you guys send these remember to PLEASE PLEASE put "Scarves" on the package and your business Etsy name somewhere in the package. otherwise i dunno who to thank!
