I think admin should made it one of the rules that people cannot convo other people and request that they raise or lower their prices. I know they might consider it spam, but I think they should really label it attempted price fixing, and it should be so against the rules that a repeat offender should be brick walled. Thanks.

I think I'm with you on this one, Puss. I'm a hardheaded loudmouthed PITA by nature, but I've run across some people on Etsy who are very nice and innocent, even to their own detriment. I'm afraid they would do what they'd been told, and it would hurt their business. Such bullying should not be tolerated.

I couldnt agree more Puss!
Like someone said in another post Free Market is Free Market
Im really getting tired of people telling others how to run their shops, when not even asked for advice on how to do so.
Leave the shop owners to their own businesses

Free enterprise isn't very free if it is forced or bullied upon you.

How would you feel if you turned on the radio or tv or opened a magazine and all you saw was stores and designers complaining "Waaa-aaah! Walmart is putting us right out of business. We can't compete!" You hardly if ever see or read ads like that. It might be true, but they don't make a public debacle out of it.

I don't know if I'd go as far as to call it "price fixing", but I do agree it's in poor taste to give unsolicited advice about pricing to another seller. I'd guess the "community" philosophy about etsy goes a bit too far sometimes.

YOu never hear Old Navy or Sears, or any clothing designer or anything saying they called or wrote to Walmart or Target and asked them to raise their prices to level the playing field.
