When Etsy talked of a search revamp, I thought it would rank items by relevance, not disappear older items from the search.

This may have some psychological appeasement factor in Etsy HQ, but functionally, it makes searching and browsing more difficult.

But hey, maybe more people will renew, and Etsy is all about the money.

Definitely! Items on the other pages can easily be overlooked.

Yes please! I even know better but when I was shopping for slippers just now I first thought there were only five pages of slippers!

It was a terrible idea.

And quite frankly, it just seems like an effort on Etsy's part to increase renewing, now that it looks like there's only 5 pages of results.

If you refuse to put in the actual number of pages, at least put in a "last page" link.

I have to agree, it seems like it is just to encourage renewing. Also, as a shopper, I might wonder why upon first glance there are only 5 pages of something really popular, like necklaces, or something, and go elsewhere with more choices!
