Do's and Don'ts confusion

Original Post
I recently had a thread closed for the reason that I should not: "publicly post any kind of private information, such as: email, Conversations, letters, phone numbers, addresses, full names or business transactions."
This is rather vague. I would read that to refer to ETSY info, email, convo's, phone #'s, etc...
But if this email I quoted was from ANOTHER company, how does this apply?
I was simply discussing my interaction and opinion of another company. Does the fact that this company is competition for Etsy has anything to do with that thread being locked, perhaps?

Did you copy and paste an email that was sent to you by another company?

I think only etsy admin could give you the right answer on this one.

Commenting on a closed thread is a no-no too....

hmm... all good points. And yes, it was from another company I wanted to discuss.
But if I'm confused then I'm sure others may be as well. Clarification is nice. And since I can't post what an Admin's response would be... that kinda defeats the purpose of sharing the info without getting slapped.

You committed another no-no by making this thread. ;)

This is a hypothetical question right TerraScents? You meant to say "What if..." =)
Anyway you can't copy and paste any of that kind of stuff, if it's from another company, Etsy, a buyer, Grandma Sue, etc.
No worries we all make mistakes. :)

It's not vague, it's 'all-encompassing' ;)
It is enforced exactly as it states - no private info of any kind.
