have you ever wanted to know when YOUR busiest time is on Etsy....here is how to customize a report to show you just that! **for those in the previous thread, disregard, we figured out what was wrong....
new peeps to thread...here are the correct instructions
from dashboard, select custom reporting select create new custom report next to custom title...select edit...i named mine hourly visits at 'new tab' select edit...enter 'views by hour' now you want to enter metrics.... ~go to the blue metrics in left hand column...and click it to get it to open ~it gives you a list of metrics you can follow. i decided i wanted visitors{this should be 'visits' not visitors},bounce rate, and average time on site.... ...but, i think i want to add pages/visit
to select your metrics, click and drag the selections to the metric boxes located to the right
now, click dimensions in the left hand column select visitors drag hour of the day to the dimensions box to the right.
you can either then click create report or preview report.
if you create, this report will stay in your custom reporting and you can access it at any time!
how to read report....
i was somewhat dense at first
the hours listed are in order of number of visits...so, your highest hour of visits will show first....and it is in military time....so, yesterday, my highest hour was 6pm {if you set your time to your timezone upon set up} was my highest traffic hour yesterday....
then it tells you the bounce rate average per hour (for those visits} and the average time those peeps that hour spent on my site.
clear as mudd? i know...but, this will tell you when your customers are looking at you! yippee. and like all the other reports you can view it cumulatively for week or month!
all i can say is YAY! |
