| Anyone else no longer selling childrens items to America? |
|

I'm not entirely sure what to do. I think I'm too scared of messing up the new law to sell to the US any longer and I certainly can't afford to pay fines or testing costs.
Bah, all confused and stressed. |

I'm struggling with this too. I have things that are okay to sell to the States (patterns) but also things that I'm too scared to (apparel). But if I removed them my buyers from Oz, Canada and Europe won't be able to see them either. I wish I knew what to do :( |

I'm in the US and I just had to change all of my stuffed animals to "not suitable for children" I'm pissed. Anyway, I would just put a thing in the description like "due to the new laws in the US this product can not be shipped there" or something to that effect. |

The CPSIA has made fabric items exempt, I think there are some other posts here in this forum that show the actual details. Will see if I can find it... |

Thanks Punkey! This morning I provisionally removed anything with plastic buttons, zippers or snaps until I can make my mind up. Elastic and fabric covered buttons are causing me to have an aneurysm. I'm even starting to doubt fusible interfacing! God help us! |

I know, it is crazy! We are now just doing t-shirts and onesies. And our onesies are being manufactured with a supplier who certifies with a certificate that snaps are lead free. Just incase....... |

PunkeyMonkey, that page won't open for me unfortunately.
I'd have to search for non plastic buttons...I don't think it's worth the extra expense (time and cost of natural timber buttons) when there are plenty of buyers from countries that don't have insane laws. |

I'm not shipping kid's items to the U.S. What a pain to set up the shipping to exclude the U.S. I'm just worried about not having the paper work to back up buttons, snaps and elastics otherwise I'd be fine. |
