Seems to be a little confusion with this one...so thought I'd put together a brief explanation...
There are currently three different ways to accurately find out if you've been in a list featured on the Front Page.
Firstly, simply checking to see if you're currently in a Treasury list WILL NOT indicate whether you've been on the Front Page. Etsy admin curate about half of the lists for the Front Page - they do not come from the Treasury - or you may have been featured in a Treasury list that has since expired.
1. GOOGLE ANALYTICS
To find out if any of your referrals have come from a Front Page list...
- Go to your GA page & click on "Content" in the Dashboard menu to the left
- Where it says "Top Content" at the bottom of the page, click on "View Full Report"
- Down the bottom of the page where it says "Find Page", leave the drop down default selection of "containing" & type "ref=fp_feat" into the search box & hit "Go"
This will show any Front Page feature referrals for the time period you've specified.
Note:
- Does not show you the list you were in, who made it, etc.
- A little involved & not very user-friendly for the non-computer savvy.
- A time delay of up to a couple of hours between being featured & showing on GA.
2. CRAFT CULT http://craftcult.com/
Okay, so juln & I run this site, so I'm biased about how great it is... :P
There are two ways to check if you've been featured on the Front Page.
METHOD ONE: The Featured Page of the Heartomatic
http://www.craftcult.com/etsyfeatured.php?userid=
- just type in your Etsy username or number & hit "Enter"
This shows if you've been featured on the Front Page within the last 24 hours. It will also show if you were an alternate for all but the list currently on the Front Page (we keep that secret until the list is no longer on the FP).
It shows what the item is, a link to the curator's shop, how many views & hearts the featured item has, etc. It also links to your item featured in The Vault. As an added bonus, the Featured page shows if you're currently in a Gift Guide or have been in a Storque article in the last 7 days too!
METHOD TWO: The Vault

The Vault is an archive of all the lists featured on the Front Page. This is the best way to search if you think you were on the Front Page more than 24 hours ago. We started collecting data on March 19, so it shows results from that date onwards.
- Click "Search for Member", type in your username, & hit "Enter" (you can also chose "lists made by" from the drop down to find a particular curator's lists).
You can see by the little gold or yellow star whether you were featured or an alternate. Click the little arrows next to the thumbnails of the featured items & it scrolls through the lists! Clicking "view list" takes you to a page where you can see the entire list. It's fully linked back to Etsy so you can go to the curator, products or other featured sellers' shops on Etsy.
Another nifty feature is the "Share This List" button top left of the page. It takes you to a page where you can make a widget of the list you were featured in to embed on your blog or site. You can make a widget that's a Treasury-style grid, or an animated slideshow!
Note:
- Craft Cult updates the Front Page data about every 10 minutes, so results are up to date.
3. FRONT PAGERS ON FLICKR http://www.flickr.com/photos/28488923@N05/
This is a fabulous resource of screenshots of the Front Page lists.
- type your username into the search field top right of page & choose "Etsy Front Pagers' Photostream"
Displays the last 200 Front Page lists, but you can search through older lists by going to the Front Pagers' Group Pool http://www.flickr.com/groups/etsyfrontpagers/
Note:
- May be a delay before the screenshot is posted on Flickr, but be patient, it's very reliably maintained. |
