I just googled 'feminist review' and the blog that came up has nothing to do with etsy.

Asking for a sample is asking for free stuff. I wouldn't do it. There's no reason to with great photography these days.

Ladybug- Except that with great photography also comes great photo programs, like Photoshop, which gives one the ability to make items appear more appealing. Also, a photograph can't tell you if something is going to turn your skin green or have good quality stitching/construction or fit properly or how heavy it is or if people give you compliments when you wear it. There are several reasons why we require the actual item to inspect for our reviews. A designer is always welcome to send return postage and packaging if they would like the item returned.
Our etsy reviews can be found here:

We still don't know that you will return our items. No thank you.

If it does not feel right to you, and it sounds like it doesn't since you posted about it, don't do it. I do not understand why they want a sample. For a blog? they would just need photos of several of your items and they might they select what they want to feature. Hm....I would not do it.

If I sent out garments to every person that asked me (for blog reviews etc) I would be broke! LOL

Seems like they forgot to mention their most recent "review"
