| Alternative Gift Guide |

Hi, I hope this is okay to post here. I know a lot of forums don't like you to advertise other sites, which is totally fine, so if this isn't allowed I'm completely happy to delete this post! I just thought it might be something that was of interest to some of you and might get you a few new customers...
I run a website called Essex Mums, which is a website for parents in the area to find out about things to do, chat, meet-up etc. I run it myself and put a lot of work into it, as I'm sure you all do with your creations.
I'm putting together an 'Alternative Gift Guide' on the website throughout the rest of this month and December with lots of ideas for Christmas presents with a difference, so this could be homemade crafty goods, toys, clothes, memberships to classes, season tickets for attractions, vouchers for an online shop... I thought it might offer a nice alternative to the High Street shops for some of our Mums and be a small ad for your products/company too. It's £5 for the listing and you get a box with your logo, an image, some text (no more than 50 words) and a link to your website.
If you were interested in taking this out with another ad over the next few months, it would be free. Likewise, for those of you currently running an ad, you can submit something for free.
I've put together an example page so you can see the sort of thing it will be. I'm thinking I'll have a big banner on the homepage that links to this then it will be a first-come first served thing in terms of placement. Once I get about 5-10 people (which I think I already have, I'm just waiting for their artwork), I'll put it live, so basically the £5 ad will run from as soon as you get the things to me until Christmas.

If you're interested, let me know and I'll send you the invoice for £5. You'll need to send me something that is 300x300 pixels and provide a link to your website, or you can just send me an image you'd like to use and the text you want and I'll put something together for you.
Let me know!

PS. There's some beautiful stuff on here - big admiration to all of you! |

Really, I'm a bit baffled. Why would this be considered spam? I've posted it once, I thought it was appropriate for people trying to sell their goods. Wow. |

Why is it spam?
you're posting an unsolicited advertizement to sell something from an outside web site. thats pretty much the definition of spam. |
