| FS Room Needs To Be Banned |

I'm so sorry to have posted previously that I was a supporter of the Featured Seller Room. It's true that I've made many friends in that chat room but for some time I've noticed the same people causing the same problems. It's amazing how so much drama can go on in this room such as name calling, cheating to be the next FS, not giving FS to those who purchased first ect. the list goes on and on. I've saved 50 or so pages of snapshots to back up my claim for etsy admin. in hopes that they will finally ban that room. Many of my FS friends will be angry with me for making this thread but I don't care. I'm here to enjoy Etsy and some people keep breaking etsy site rules and nothing happens. One last rant.... the cheating is so bad that you can guess who is up next before being told by the current FS because it's always the same people or sequence of the buyers and on two occasions I was the winner but someone else was announced. So what say you? |

Feature Seller is when one person buys from another and is the FS for 5 minutes trying to get a sale. It's mostly for fun but some see it as a way to make money. The bottom line for both is that it's not worth it and etsy violations in that room are rampant. |

This FS Room isn't created by Etsy. Rooms are typically created by users like you and I.
This FS Room basically is this "game" - you get X mins as the Featured Seller. The first person to purchase SHOULD be the next FS. However, the OP is pointing out that these "rules" are being broken.
LeRoyale, sorry, I don't think Etsy will do anything about your request :( |

I quit being part of the FS chatrooms because of the infighting that goes on. No other chatroom appears to have such a controversial reputation. Seems the same people are part of this room, constantly buying things from one another to increase their feedback scores. Isn't this against Etsy policy as well? |

If i make a sale, i'm so excited about it because someone out there really wants something i made!
But if i make a sale in a FS chat room.. where's the excitement? Someone most likely bought the cheapest thing i had just so they could be the next FS.
and i've heard a lot about people putting through sales without paying, then just never paying at all so the sale gets cancelled.
If I go into chat, it's to have fun, and meet fellow etsians. not to feel pressured to buy something, or get bummed out cause nothing of mine was sold.
i knew it could be a stressful chat room lol, but i didnt realize so much cheating was going on!! Well, if i was tempted to go in there again, i'm certainly not now :) |
