Lol, I was just going to start a thread on this!!
I'm pleased that we finally have some answers that make sense. At least, it makes sense to me but I'm not very computer savvy.
So it was Google's fault after all. Bad Google! Bad!

Yes, it's nice to have at least a vague idea of what might be going on!

I'm glad we finally have an explanation, even if it's not exactly what we wanted to hear!
I knew we weren't just imagining that something had happened!

Thank you for your input and communications. Nice to have a better sense of what's been going on.

wow, like he said, I'm surprized we've had rankings as good as we have if that's the problem.
It would seem that according to this, items that have NOT sold in a while would be coming up in google searches and items that have sold recently will never come up, right?

Here is my assumption:
They said they needed about 4 months to fix the URL thing, and they've already been working on it for 3 months, so we should see things get better in about 1 more month?

So I am still reeling from the announcement from last night... this is having a profound effect on my made to order items (mothers bracelets and peapod necklaces)
While it is good to know I am not going crazy that they just dropped off the face of google (they used to be on page one and then dropped out)
it is troubling that ironically simply by virtue of them being my best sellers they are getting bumped out of google (because they sell and their URL changes LMAO)
It is not cost effective to list multiple quantities as this would make renewing cost skyrocket and then customer cost skyrocket.
I am sad this will not be fixed in time for Mother's Day... one of my biggest day... this will really handicap me
