Yowzers! What a close call!
It's very much Autumn here in Southern Maine and we're busy preparing our big old farmhouse and our shops for winter.
We've spent the last three days outside shooting tons of pictures of things that I'll be using to create listings throughout the winter months and into the early Spring.
Carl and I shot several lots of cool random old books this afternoon while the crisp fall days are still hanging on and the light is just perfect.
A quick bit of Google research at my desk a few hours ago, showed me that one of my books, a dark blue book with an orangy title to be no ordinary used book, but a genuine 1927 first edition copy of Sinclair Lewis's famous work; Elmer Gantry!
In the first edition, the printing on the spine shows first letter of Gantry looking like the letter "C" and it's worth a nice chunk of change in nice condition; and mine is! .... it's worth about a Grand!

Your turn! Please tell me about your Vintage Surprises... AND what you did with them!
XOXOXO,
Veronica!

Thanks! I have no clue how I would find a buyer for such a thing.

Wow, what a coup! I lucked out with a Florence Ceramics pair recently... And a pixie on a leaf-shaped ceramic box... All in perfect condition. Still researching!
