Just be sure pieces are big enough to not be choking hazards.
Other than that, polymer clay is rated "non toxic."

I make nothing but Polymer Clay jewelry. Polymer Clay is safe and you can contact the manufacture for important documents. They might charge you a fee, but it's better than a lawsuit!

I agree with artsmakersworldalpha about the size. I am pretty sure it is non toxic, but would contact the company just to be safe. I love ur shop.

I think the main issue with polymer clay and kids has been BPA content, especially in California where we have serious BPA restrictions on kids' products now. However, I think the clay manufacturers responded by reformulating their clays recently, and I would definitely check with them and get their documentation to be on the safe side.
