Who can have an Etsy account?
Anyone who is at least 18 years of age can be a member on Etsy.
If you are under 18, you may use Etsy only with the permission
and supervision of a responsible adult (parent or legal guardian);
additionally, those under the age of 18 may not utilize Etsy's
community spaces
unless otherwise specified. Check out the

for more specific membership requirements.
I can't find the confirmation email, where is it?
Please check your junk mail folder. It may have ended up in
there. To prevent this in the future, you can add transactions@etsy.com
and hello@etsy.com to your address book or safe list. In
extreme cases you might have to turn off SPAM filters. If you
need to resend the email, click on the link on the right side
of the sign in page.
I can't remember my password, what should I do?
Click sign in, then "reset password". Etsy will send a temporary
number that you can use to sign in with. You can change your
password back to something you can remember by going to: Your
Etsy > Account Info > Change password.
How do I change my password?
Go to Your Etsy > Account Info, and you can change it there by
following the onscreen instructions.
Why can't I sign in?
You can't sign in if your account is not active. When you first
registered with Etsy, we send you a Confirmation email. You'll
just need to click the confirmation link in this email to get
started. If you need to resend the email to yourself, please
click on the link at the right side of the sign in page.
If you cannot find the email anywhere, you can try the following:
- Check your junk mail folder.
- Add transactions@etsy.com and hello@etsy.com to your safe list or address book.
- Turn off your SPAM filters.
You might also be mistyping your password. Make sure CAPS
LOCK is off. If you still can't sign in, you can follow the
link on the sign in page to reset your password.
I have clicked the link in the Confirmation Email, but I still
don't have an active account, what do I do now?
You can confirm your account manually by going to the
manual confirmation page.
All you need is the codeword from the most recent confirmation
email and your email address. If you lost the first confirmation
email, you can send yourself a new one by clicking on the "Resend
the confirmation email" link, also on the right side of the sign in page.
How do I change the email address for my Etsy account?
Go to Your Etsy > Account Info, then follow the "change your email address" link.
When I try to register, it says my email address is already in
use. What does this mean?
Once an email address is registered on Etsy, it can never be
reused for a different account. You may close your extra
accounts by
contacting Support, but
the email addresses still cannot be reused.
How do I change or add a mailing address? How do I change the
billing information?
Sign in to Etsy and go to Your Etsy > Account Info, and follow
the link on that screen.
May I have more than one account?
A person may have more than one account. There are certain
policies you must adhere to, including full disclosure of ALL
your usernames in the profiles of each account. Additionally,
your actions under one username will apply to all your accounts.
So if you break the rules, the consequences affect you across
the board. Please see the

for our policies regarding multiple accounts.
How do I close my account? Can I close my account to start a new one?
You can close your account to start a new one, but you will need
to use a different email address and none of your information
will be carried over. For security reasons usernames and emails
can't be reused once they are in our system.
Please contact Support if you would
like to close your account.
