These iconic mid-century finds are quite rare and are usually found in less than perfect condition due to the combination of the metal construction & the constant humidity from the water. Fortunately, this one is near mint & in perfect working order with only minor issues to note: a slight yellowing on the top rim of the fiberglass shade {a result of the old glue} and four small areas of light surface rust on the interior's base. The base measures 11 3/4" L x 6" T x 4 1/2" W.
This classic piece of mid century kitsch was such an awesome find! We plucked him from a dusty old antiques shop while traveling through the mid west; and although he didn't have a price tag, we knew he was coming home with us.
