A while ago, a friend asked me if I would dye her a skein of yarn. She wanted to knit some bright coloured socks for her niece, so I dyed this yarn in bright pink, blue, green and yellow egg dyes with just a bit of orange and purple thrown in for good measure. Since my new colourway needed a name, I named it after her niece, and thus Hiroko was "born". I looked up the meaning of the name. It means a broad-minded, generous or prosperous child. How wonderful is that?

Now Hiroko is available in generous 10g/ 40 yard mini skeins.

This yarn is 100% soft and squishy fingering weight superwash merino. Gauge: 7-8 sts=1" on US 0-2.

Great for hexapuffs (the beekeeper's quilt), sock yarn blankets, adding a bit of colour to a project, or just trying out my colourways. You can probably get 3-4 hexapuffs from each skein!

Hand dyed by Serenity in smoke-free house with a cat who is not allowed anywhere near the yarns.
