I love the way the carnelian colored agate is held in this brooch, with long goldtone prongs curving over the top, it really gives it a unique look! This brooch features a carnelian orange colored agate in an openwork circle of goldtone with orange and brown enamel accents. The openwork design reminds me of flames, the way the enamel accented pieces come to a point at the tops. It is unsigned but reminds me of a Sarah Coventry piece.
This lovely vintage brooch measures about 1 7/8 inches by 1 1/4 inches and is in good vintage condition with little evident metal wear or enamel wear. As stated above, the agate is not glued in, it is held in place with nothing but the long curving prongs, but it is secure and safe in the setting. The pinback functions properly.

Please keep in mind that vintage items have been worn and loved and all are at least 20 years old, most even older. Due to age, there may be certain areas of wear or other imperfections that are inherent to vintage items. I will always mention significant damage or wear but please do not expect things to look like “new” items.
