This silk fiber is excellent quality. It is "silk thrum," meaning that it is made from the leftover ends of warp yarns. These leftovers are created when looms in textile factories are set up or changed to a new color or pattern. This pack of fiber includes three shades of red and is all loose fiber. If you're new to fiber and not accustomed to working with loose fiber, you may prefer my "Premium Quality" fiber packs, which are neatly organized into twists for easy handling and no tangles.
