55/45% superwash Bluefaced Leicester/Silk Laceweight 875yds/100g

Hubble Space Telescope image that inspired this colorway:
http://hubblesite.org/gallery/album/pr2003006a/

The Dumbbell Nebula, a nearby planetary nebula residing more than 1,200 light-years away, is the result of an old star that has shed its outer layers in a glowing display of color. The nebula, also known as M27, was the first planetary nebula ever discovered. French astronomer Charles Messier spotted it in 1764. Glowing "sparks" of gas from a dying star look like they're streaking through space. The dense "sparks", which form in the early stages of a planetary nebula, each contain as much mass as three Earths.

About this yarn:

Fusion! is a 55/45% blend of lustrous Bluefaced Leicester with lovely, luscious silk. Bluefaced Leicester wool combines strength and shine with softness, and is presented in this superwash version well-combed with the smooth, glossy silk. This luxuriously soft blend simply gleams. The generous yardage is ideal for shawls and scarves, and the sumptuous blend of fibers will make your lacework glow.

While this yarn is machine washable in cold water, hand washing can extend the life of the garment. Lay flat to dry.

This colorway is available as a custom order. Note that all my yarns are hand-dyed and no two skeins are the same, despite similarities.

This item is multi-colored butter yellow, sky blue, and lavender tones with a range of intermediate colors. This listing is for one 100g skein in the colorway shown in the picture. The skein is shown before and after re-skeining, so you have a better idea of how the yarn will look knitted/crocheted. I take pictures that represent the color/texture of the item as accurately as I can. Please remember that monitors vary in how they render colors. If you have any questions, I welcome your conversation.

All my yarns are hand-dyed one at a time, using high-quality, professional dyes in a non-smoking, pet-free home.
