Instead, I prefer make quilts that are beautiful AND useful each and every day. That the kids can use to build forts in the living room. That you can take outside to sit on the porch on a cool evening. That allow the dog to sleep on the bed. That are washer and dryer safe and will last thru years and years and years of abuse
My quilts are composed of soft, homespun cotton (upscaled whenever possible) and batted with a lightweight, needled cotton. They're warm and cuddly in the cold, but they BREATHE so you don't have to pack them away in the warmer months. I take a ridiculous amount of time to create the heirloom look without the heirloom responsibility.
This quilt is complete and ready to ship today. (OK, actually it will ship tomorrow, because I don't know exactly when you're going to press "purchase" and where I'll be at that particular moment.) It has been washed and distressed to create the rag effect and then line dried in the clean Iowa outdoors so it will arrive at your home spelling like sunshine.
This is an oversized queen, 6 inches longer and wider than a regular queen to give you a little extra drape. Dimensions: 96" x 96"
